HMS Sports - Touch Football in Coomera

Huge congratulations to our HMS Touch Football teams for their incredible efforts at @ngctouch on Mondays and Fridays! This season has been nothing short of remarkable, showcasing not only the talent and determination of our competitive players but also the enthusiasm and spirit of those who are new to the sport. It has been heartwarming to witness players of all ages and backgrounds diving into the game, eager to learn the intricacies of touch football. Our commitment to fostering a welcoming environment has allowed HMS to proudly help 47 young people in the Coomera area get involved in touch football this season, encouraging them to stay active, develop new friendships, and build a strong connection to their community! We are dedicated to supporting players of all skill levels, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive and enjoy the game. A special shout-out to HMS Blue and our U14 Girls for their outstanding performance and for taking home the win in their finals, a testament to their hard work and teamwork!

A massive thank you to the family members who support our players on and off the field; it truly takes a village to nurture young athletes, and we couldn’t do it without your unwavering encouragement and commitment. Your presence at games and practices not only boosts the morale of the players but also strengthens the community bond we cherish. We also want to take a moment to celebrate Michaela and Rachel for being appointed as representative coaches this season. The youth are incredibly fortunate to have you guiding them, sharing your expertise, and inspiring a new generation of touch football players. Additionally, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to our emerging youth coaches Maddy, Manaia, Jaxon, and Maison, who have taken on the responsibility of mentoring their peers. It’s also worth recognising all the young people who began their referee journeys this season; the growth we’ve witnessed in both players and officials has been truly inspiring and indicative of the bright future of our program!

Big thanks to our dedicated coaches Mikey, Jayson, Emma, and Teresa, who generously volunteer their time every week, tirelessly training and inspiring our athletes to reach their full potential. Your commitment to developing skills, instilling confidence, and fostering a love for the game is invaluable. We’re so proud of the growth and success that each of you has achieved and the positive impact you’ve made on our players’ lives.
